MSU Extension presents Dig & Divide class

This program will include a presentation on some of the plants within the MSU Extension demonstration garden. There will be a focus on the correct timing for plant division, the tools needed to divide plants, and interactive demonstrations on the correct way to split perennials. The class will cover how to dig out bulbs, tubers, and rhizomes and replant correctly in other locations. Weather permitting, participants are invited outdoors for hands-on experience in helping to divide some of the plants in the garden. The event will be led by David Lowenstein, Extension Educator, and volunteers from the MSU Extension-Macomb Demonstration Garden.

If you wish to participate in the hands-on portion of the class, please bring gardening gloves, a hand tool, and plastic bags to take home divided plants.

Free event by advanced registration only.  Registration closes at 11:59 p.m. June 5, 2024.
